Types : Heat-strengthened glass to prevent breakage caused by thermal stresses
Glasses which have been heat-treated to increase their
resistance to mechanical and thermal stresses.The glass is heated to more than 600 °C and then gradually cooled.
Heat-strengthened glass is mainly used to prevent breakage caused by thermal stresses. It is not considered a safety glass. When broken, this type of glass shatters into large pieces that remain in the frame.
