A horizontal or vertical console consists of glass components and serves as the secondary framework for a light facade, glass roof, awning or canopy. Consoles can be used indoors and outdoors.
The glass components are made of toughened laminated Structaflex with EVA interlayers. The maximum size of a component is six metres.
The facade or roof is affixed to the consoles using a type of point fixing called a frame. Frames serve as a support for point-fixed structural glazing systems and can be modified for ordinary structural glazing.
The console is affixed to the structure of the building using a metal clamp at one end. (The beams and glass fins are attached to the building at either end.)
